Getting ready for school to begin

Now that it's mid-August, you can feel the pulse in the building increase as committees start to meet, custodians are putting finishing touches on the building, and teachers work on their rooms, preparing for the opening of school, only two weeks away. Tomorrow we will mail out the Summer Parent Flash to families with some details about the beginning of school. 

If you get the chance, check out the Podcast section of the web site. It is a first attempt, and frankly a tad long at about 20 minutes. By clicking on the arrow key on the podcast player, you can shuffle up and down various chapters.

This is a special year for Harold Martin School as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. There will be events all during the year, the first being a school celebration on September 15 during the school day. Our traditional spaghetti dinner served by the HMS staff will be part of this celebration later in the year and there are plenty of surprises to come as well.
